Responsible business
The business responsible for personal information on hotelonemap.com is SSPS LLC, Ontario, Canada / USA. Privacy questions go to privacy@hotelonemap.com.
Information collected
- Device and connection data: IP address, approximate geolocation inferred from that IP at metro or regional precision, your browser's user-agent string, and which URLs were loaded and when.
- Form data: whatever you enter in the contact form (name, email, subject line, message text), once you actually send that email.
- Consent record: which cookie categories you allowed, stored in your browser.
Reasons for processing
- To deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Analytics, with your consent: counting visits and popular sections in aggregate.
- Marketing, with your consent: letting an affiliate or partner network attribute an install or purchase to a link on this site.
- To answer messages you send us.
Disclosure to others
Hosting and analytics providers process technical data on our behalf. When advertising or affiliate cookies are allowed, affiliate and partner networks receive identifiers that connect a click here with an install or purchase. App stores and game publishers apply their own privacy policies once you leave this site. We do not sell contact-form data.
Your rights under CCPA/CPRA
Under these California statutes, residents can find out which categories, and which specific items, of their data we hold; have it corrected or deleted; limit any use of sensitive personal information; and direct us to halt selling or sharing their data for cross-context behavioral advertising. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal as a valid opt-out: with GPC on, advertising and affiliate cookies stay off. Using a right will never lead to different service or pricing.
Other US state privacy laws
Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws, such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and Texas, have similar rights to access, correct, delete and opt out of targeted advertising. We apply the same process to every US request, and you may appeal a decision by replying to our answer.
Visitors from the EU and UK
Although the site is aimed at US readers, any visitor in the EU or UK has the rights given by the GDPR or UK GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, plus the right to withdraw consent and to complain to a local supervisory authority.
Canada
Because the operator is based in Ontario, we also handle personal information in line with Canada's PIPEDA, including your right to access it and to ask for corrections.
Retention periods
We purge raw access logs within 90 days and hold analytics totals no longer than 26 months. Emails stay while a conversation is open and for up to 24 months afterward. The consent record lasts 12 months, after which the banner asks again.
Minors
Nothing here is aimed at people under 18, and we make no attempt to gather their data. Should a message from a minor reach our inbox, write to us and we will erase it.
How to make a request
Write to privacy@hotelonemap.com stating which right you are exercising. We may need a few details to verify it is you, and we answer inside the deadline set by whichever law applies. An authorized agent may act for you with written permission.
